Homemade Strawberry Lemon Pound Cake with Strawberry Lemon Frosting. Dessert cake and frosting recipe made from scratch. Soft, moist and yummy.
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 large Eggs
- 3 sticks unsalted butter. Room temp
- 1 8 ounce cream cheese room temp.
- 3 lemons with zest
- 1 1/2 cups of chopped strawberries more if desired. Plus 6 large strawberries
- 1 can sweet condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
To start chop strawberries and add juice of lemons to strawberries add lemon zest. Set aside
Cream butter,and cream cheese until fluffy at low speed with mixer add sugar and mix.
Add eggs one at a time with mixer at low speed. Add juice from bowl of strawberries mix at low speed or by hand until mixed well.
Mix in flour 1 cup at a time to mixture until all is incorporated. Them on low speed for two minutes.
Fold in strawberries to batter, it will be thick.
Put in greased and floured bundt pan and bake for 70 minutes or when toothpick comes out clean
In a bowl mix sweetened condensed milk 6 strawberries mashed up with juice of 1 lemon and zest.
When cake comes out of oven let cool and remove from pan. Using wooden spoon handle poke holes in cake while still warm pour frosting over top of cake let drizzle down sides.
